SOUNDS OF PAUL MEYERS

Blues For The Millennium-My first solo guitar CD, with Blues, Bebop, Brazilian and Bartok - I worked very long and hard on these arrangements, and it’s still one of my favorite CDs.

Dusk to Dawn-The follow-up to the first one, w/my arrangements of tunes by John Lennon, Scott Joplin, Duke Ellington and Stevie Wonder.

World on a String-A fantastic quintet, with two incredible soloists, Donny McCaslin (sax/flute) and Helio Alves (piano) playing my original music and arrangements, mixing Jazz, Brazilian, Latin and World influences into a wonderful whole!

Paul Meyers Quartet w/Frank Wess-A straight ahead, swinging quartet album featuring the legendary sax/flute player - and also one track with the incredible vocalist Andy Bey.

Welcome Home-My all time favorite solo guitar CD with all original music... This album really captures what I worked on and developed over the years as a solo style for the guitar.

I Let a Song Go-Another great solo guitar CD, my most recent one - like Welcome Home, it has a “pianistic” feeling, but this time with all standards and one original tune.

Trio Concertant-An incredible group I was in with two monster classical musicians, Dennis James on bass and Annabelle Hoffman on cello. Dennis is a true classical virtuoso, and also a great jazz player - we did all of our own arrangements of classical, jazz and Brazilian music.

Your Place or Mine-A duo CD with my Bob Kindred on tenor sax, who was a wonderful musician and dear friend. We did all great standards and one original tune each. It also features his wife Anne Phillips singing one tune of hers.

Euforia-A fantastic trio with two stellar musicians, Santi Debriano on bass and Vanderlei Pereira on drums - dynamic, highly interactive playing, an eclectic jazz/Braz/latin fusion, and a great set of originals and some jazz tunes rearranged.

Brasil and Company-With the wonderful singer Vera Mara, a group we had in the 1990’s. Beautiful Brazilian repertoire, including two originals of mine and two from her brother, the fantastic pianist Cidinho Teixeira (who also plays on the CD) with great grooves and guest musicians.

King/Fabian/Meyers-A swinging and creative trio with two very musical players, pianist Matt King and bassist Christian Fabian, recorded live and featuring all original music.

Spirit and Samba-A duet CD with the amazing bassist/composer Santi Debriano. Intimate and soulful.

Blues for Henry Miller-My very first trio recording, originally on vinyl!! With two wonderful musicians I played with all the time in my Brooklyn days, bassist Dick Sarpola and drummer/composer Mark Plank. All original tunes and one standard.
