LEARNING THE BASIC LANGUAGE OF MUSIC ON THE GUITAR

Seeing the Building Blocks of Music all over the fretboard

The first course I made is for those who want to understand the basic structure, or language, of music on the guitar. These may be beginners or can be any guitarists who already play but do it by ear, are self taught, etc., and who just want to develop their own music by seeing clearly how it's built on the instrument. I've had several students in recent years, both beginners and players, who were looking for exactly this kind of information.

JAZZ IMPROVISATION FOR GUITAR – A SCALE FOR EVERY CHORD

An improviser’s guide to the connections between chords and scales

In this course the you will learn 19 different scales and modes on the guitar. You will see clearly how apply them to capture the exact sound of all types of chords used in jazz tunes.
The student will be given helpful practical exercises for learning and applying the scales, so that they can be put to good use. This is an invaluable framework for anyone who wants to improvise spontaneously and master the jazz language on the guitar.

IMPROVISATION COURSE FOR GUITAR– BUILDING MELODIES FROM CHORDS

Start improvising melodically using basic chord shapes. A simple method for creating a guitar solo.

In this course the student will learn how to use basic jazz guitar chord forms to build strong melodies for improvisation. Using one of the most common and important chord progressions, ii-V-I ( in both major and minor keys ), you will begin with the “guide tones” that are built into the chords themselves. From there you will be able to use them for experimenting and creating melodies that connect through the chord progression.
